About Americorps NCCC

AmeriCorps NCCC is a program for Americans ages 18-24. We spend almost a year (usually about 10 months) doing direct, team-based national and community service. Members perform various services such as responding to natural disasters, constructing low-income housing, cleaning up Mother Nature, and addressing many other needs. Currently, AmeriCorps NCCC has four regional campuses in Sacramento, CA, Denver, CO, Vinton, IA and Perry Point, MD. I have been assigned to the NCCC Pacific Region in Sacramento. This region serves Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and the Pacific Territories. Though this is the primary region in which I can expect to serve, many Americorps are called from across the country for specific projects in any part of the country despite where our base may be located.
